Families wishing to add a little literary boost to their childrens' summertime fun can register their children for this year's summer reading program, "Dig Into Reading," starting June 25, according to the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce.
Kindergarten through eighth-grade students can participate in the program, which runs until Aug. 9.
The goal is to encourage children to read, even if it's 15 minutes a day, according to the library website. Children will receive a folder with a time log record sheet.
"Dig Into Reading" is sponsored by the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems, the Boston Bruins and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, according to the West Falmouth Library.
