The unidentified remains were found on Vaughn’s Island Sunday evening close to where Prescott Wright went missing in December, according to the Cape Cod Times.
Wright went missing with Zachary Wells of Burlington, VT. on December 20, 2012. Both attended the Landing School in Arundel Maine.
The Maine medical examiner’s office will conduct DNA testing to identify the body. That process could take days or weeks to complete.
Wright’s family held a memorial service for him in January.
