2) Highfield Hall closes this season's Family Night Out series with The Yo-Yo Show, from 5 to 7 p.m. Crafts and fun for the whole family will be available starting at 5, and the yo-yo heroics begin at 6, with incredible feats of flying plastic, including yo-yos attached to bouncy balls, yo-yos with 10-foot strings, and simultaneous yo-yoing and hula-hooping. 3) The Falmouth Public Library hosts Death & Dessert, a combination of sweets and mysteries, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Massachusetts authors Tom MacDonald, Spencer Quinn, and Steve Ulfelder will be hand, as will plenty of delicious desserts. 4) If savory is more your preference, the Falmouth Historical Society presents A History of Chowder: Four Centuries of a New England Meal, a lecture on the history of the quintessential seacoast dish, complete with samples. Food writer and chowder enthusiast Robert S. Cox will discuss the evolution and staggering variety of chowder in New England.
