The article would have given Falmouth the authority to spend $14 million to remove Wind One and Wind Two, according to the Cape Cod Times.
The article did not get the necessary two-thirds majority to pass.
The vote may not the end of the road for neighbors who say the turbines are making them ill. The Cape Cod Times reports Selectmen have said they would put the article to voters during the May 21 town election.
